A beautiful open-ocean crescent beach in the Manomet village, about 560 feet of which is lifeguard-supervised by the Recreation Department. Four buoys mark the guarded swim area to keep boats and jet skis out.
Harbor
Town waterfront park adjacent to Plymouth Rock and the downtown harbor. A flat, grassy and sandy strip along Plymouth Harbor with calm water, historical views, and easy access to the town wharf and Mayflower II. More of a scenic gathering spot than a swim beach.
Freshwater Pond
Plymouth's largest park, 200 acres of forest and shoreline wrapping Little Pond and the Billington Sea, with a spring-fed freshwater swimming beach that draws visitors from across Massachusetts. Swim lessons run weekdays and there's a launch for small non-motorized boats.
Ocean / Atlantic
Plymouth's signature ocean beach, a long sandy barrier spit curling into Plymouth Harbor that's hugely popular with locals and tourists alike. Staffed daily with lifeguards and a bathhouse from late May through Labor Day, with beach wheelchairs and Mobi-mats for accessible access.
Harbor
An 11-acre waterfront green on Plymouth Harbor with a small sandy beach, a summer splash pad, playground and picnic area, plus a kayak/canoe launch. A paved harborfront path links to the North Plymouth Rail Trail and Holmes Reservation.
Ocean / Atlantic
The wild outer barrier-beach spit reaching toward the Plymouth Harbor lighthouse, open to permitted over-sand 4x4 vehicles. A quiet stretch prized for long shoreline walks, surf casting and shorebird habitat, with no lifeguards or services.
