Pamet River Valley Walk

A beautiful walk through the broad, glacially carved Pamet River valley — a peaceful freshwater and brackish river valley that cuts through the heart of Truro. The path follows the valley floor through marsh grass, cranberry bogs, and thicket, with the forested ridge rising on both sides. Birding is exceptional. The old Truro Youth Hostel (Bog House) is a historic landmark along the route.

Cape Cod Highland Lighthouse

Highland Light (Cape Cod Light) is the Cape's oldest and tallest lighthouse, shining since 1797 from the high Truro bluffs above the Atlantic within the Cape Cod National Seashore. A short, easy walk from parking reaches the tower — climb it on seasonal tours for a 360° view — with the Highland House Museum and Highland Links golf course right next door.
