Add the review layers into your calendar. Historic district committees meet on their own schedules; a project along 6A in Yarmouth or Brewster can take meaningfully longer from contract to switch-flip than one on an unrestricted Marstons Mills lot. If you want panels producing through the Cape's bright summer, start conversations in fall, get through design and historic review over the winter, and permit in late winter — installers' calendars and town offices are both more forgiving before the summer crowds arrive.
