Mass Audubon's Long Pasture sanctuary offers 2.5 miles of gentle woodland and meadow trails leading to overlooks of Barnstable Harbor and Sandy Neck Barrier Beach. Highlights include a short marsh boardwalk into the Barnstable Great Marsh, the Butterfly Mosaic Trail's native wildflower plots, and an accessible All Persons Trail (firm stone dust) with a platform extending into Night Heron Pond for accessible birding. Dogs are not allowed; service animals welcome.

About 180 acres laced with several miles of double-track and singletrack trails winding over rolling drumlin hills through pine, oak, and holly woods. Loops range from roughly 1 to 4 miles. Some steeper grades make it a favorite of hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. Trails such as Hills and Dales, Picnic, Aunt Hatch, and Pine Trail are well loved. Leashed dogs welcome.
