What is Skunknett River Wildlife Sanctuary like?
A quiet 147-acre Mass Audubon sanctuary where tree-lined, well-marked trails explore a fragrant Atlantic White Cedar swamp and the Skunknett River. Interconnected loops include the Overlook Trail (views of West Pond, good for Black-crowned Night-Herons, Ospreys, and migrating ducks), the Holly Trail (American hollies and a vernal pool), and the shady, mossy Swamp Trail. A peaceful birding and walking spot; pets are not allowed.
