The New Year's Eve Drone Show (No More Fireworks)
Provincetown replaced its New Year's Eve fireworks with a drone show starting New Year's Eve 2025. The town's tourism office booked Firefly Drone Shows, citing no air pollution or debris and less disturbance to pets and wildlife (Provincetown Independent).
For 2026, the drone show is December 31 at 6pm at MacMillan Pier. Parking is free, and the show is live-streamed on local channel 26 (ptowntourism.com).
Because it's at 6pm rather than midnight, it works for families and for anyone who wants dinner and a late night afterward.
