An independent local guide to Cape Cod and the Islands. Every business we list has been visited and photographed in person.
“Certified” and “Standards” refer to Cape Cod Certified's independent private curation framework and do not imply any governmental, regulatory, or third-party certification. All products, experiences, and contractors listed are selected at our own discretion and subject to our internal review process.

The Register · Certified Contractors
A contractor who works close to home spends less time on Route 6 and more time on the job. More jobs mean more buying power at the local yard, and that means better prices for the homeowner.
Less of the bill goes to driving. A contractor who works close to home fits more jobs into a week, buys more from the same local yard and has room to pass the savings on. It works in a loop.
Jobs close to home cut the hours spent on Route 6, the bridges and summer traffic.
Good for the contractor
Hours saved on the road become hours on paid work. The calendar fills from nearby.
Good for the contractor
Steady volume at one local yard builds leverage on materials, delivery and terms.
Pick a trade to see its certified contractors and every guide we’ve written for it. Each trade has two libraries: guides for homeowners, and Certified Pro guides for the people doing the work.
Two libraries, written by people who know Cape houses. Homeowner guides explain costs, permits and what to ask. Certified Pro guides cover pricing, code and running a Cape business, and come with certification.
Hyannis and South Dennis have the most, with lumber yards, kitchen and tile showrooms, paint, stone and plumbing supply all within a few miles. Orleans, Falmouth, Harwich and Wellfleet cover the rest of the Cape, and the islands have their own yards. Filter by what you’re building.

For contractors
A local contractor often can cost less. Less of the bill goes to driving time, they fit more jobs into a week, and they buy from the same nearby supply yards, which can keep prices down.
Cape Cod Passport members see the certified register with each contractor's CCC Review tier, and can request quotes directly.
A listing by trade and town on the certified register, a CCC Review score and tier, and the Certified Pro guide library on pricing and margin, code and regulations, customers and reputation, and common mistakes.
Good for the contractor
Lower overhead per job leaves room for sharper quotes, and the money stays on the Cape.
