What is Herring River Marsh Walk like?
A scenic walk along the dike and edges of the Herring River estuary, one of the largest salt marsh restoration projects in New England. The flat, mostly paved dike path offers sweeping views over the tidal marsh, and birdlife is extraordinary — herons, egrets, osprey, and shorebirds are commonly seen. A front-row seat to an ongoing ecological restoration.
