Beetlebung Farm
Beetlebung Farm is a historic market garden of more than six acres in the heart of Chilmark town center on Martha's Vineyard. Four generations of the Fischer family farmed the land from 1961 through 2018, and its current stewards are turning it into a four-season regenerative farm. The fields grow vegetables, herbs, flowers and berries, with fruit trees, a small apiary and a young food forest. A nineteenth-century barn holds the year-round farmstand, a kitchen whose grab-and-go menu changes day to day with the harvest, and a stone mill and bakery making slow-fermented sourdough from freshly milled Northeast grain. The farmstand is open Wednesday through Sunday, 8am to 5:30pm. Cape Cod Certified visited and photographed Beetlebung Farm in person.
